Ganduje Leads Newly Inaugurated FAAN Board
Abdullahi Ganduje, the former National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has been officially inaugurated as the Chairman of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
This development follows Ganduje’s recent resignation from his position as APC National Chairman, which he attributed to urgent personal reasons. Subsequently, Ali Bukar Dalori was named as his replacement.
A video capturing the inauguration ceremony was shared on X by Gbenga Saka, Special Adviser on Digital Media to the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo.
Ganduje, who previously served as Governor of Kano State, was inaugurated alongside other board members, including FAAN’s Managing Director, Ms Olubunmi Kuku, as well as Ms Dorothy Duruaka, Ahmed Ibrahim Suleiman, Nasiru Muazu, Omozojie Okoboh, TP Vembe, and Bridget Gold, who will serve as the board secretary.

During the event, the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, highlighted the importance of the new board’s role. “As we inaugurate this new board, we carry the weight of expectation that we must continue to foster an environment where aviation can thrive, connect diverse regions, and promote socioeconomic development across our nation,” Keyamo stated.
He acknowledged the industry’s numerous challenges, including infrastructure deficits and global aviation dynamics, but expressed confidence that the diverse expertise of the board members would be crucial in guiding FAAN towards its strategic objectives.
