LAGOS, NIGERIA — In a shocking revelation that has stunned many Nigerians, Pastor Bolaji Idowu, the Senior Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre, has been arrested for allegedly selling a large portion of the church’s land without the knowledge or approval of the congregation.
According to sources, the land, located in Victoria Island, Lagos, was earmarked for future church expansion and community projects. However, Pastor Idowu is accused of secretly selling it to a private developer for a sum believed to be over 50 million Naira, bypassing both the church board and the members.
Members of the congregation only discovered the sale when documents related to the property transfer surfaced in the local land registry. Many church members expressed shock and anger, stating that the pastor’s action violated their trust and church regulations.VIDEO: Pastor’s Daughter’s Viral S*x Tape Leaves Internet in Shock, Watch!
Eyewitnesses said the pastor arranged the sale in secrecy. He allegedly used a front company registered under a close associate’s name to make the transaction appear legitimate, and the funds were reportedly transferred to private accounts rather than the church treasury.
When contacted, Pastor Idowu denied any wrongdoing. He claimed that the sale was intended to “benefit the church” and that all actions were within his authority. “I acted in what I believed was the best interest of the congregation,” he said, adding that he would cooperate fully with authorities.VIDEO: See Moment Church CCTV Captured Man Stealing Phone Inside church In Lagos
