A once-peaceful church in Enugu has been thrown into crisis after its choir master was accused of impregnating three female members of the congregation.
The choir master, identified as Chinedu Okafor, was said to have been romantically involved with the ladies during different periods of choir rehearsals and church activities. What started as whispers soon escalated when the three women, all active members of the choir, confirmed their pregnancies within the same month.
Sources revealed that the church leadership was forced to intervene after families of the women raised alarm. During a heated meeting, shocking confessions surfaced, with the women admitting that Chinedu had promised each of them marriage.
Eyewitnesses said the congregation was left in tears last Sunday when the matter was publicly announced. Some members expressed disappointment, describing it as a betrayal of trust from someone seen as a spiritual leader.
