Meanwhile, the Kano State Islamic Council of Ulama organized a special funeral prayer in his honor. The “Ga’ib Prayer,” traditionally performed when a deceased’s body is absent, was conducted for the late businessman and philanthropist.
He was the last surviving son of Alhassan Dantata, a prominent pre-independence West African magnate who passed away in 1955.

His diverse business ventures covered sectors such as agriculture, real estate, construction, oil and gas, and manufacturing.
Beyond his entrepreneurial pursuits, he was elected to the Northern House of Assembly in 1966 and later appointed as a Commissioner in the Kano State Government, serving between 1967 and 1973.
