Liverpool Transfer Swap Deal: Reds Offer Nunez and Chiesa to Hijack Osimhen Move

Liverpool Transfer Swap Deal; Liverpool have made headlines this summer transfer window with bold moves, starting with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s departure and Jeremie Frimpong’s arrival from Bayer Leverkusen.

Now, Arne Slot’s team is continuing their aggressive strategy with a potential British-record deal for Florian Wirtz already in place and a new centre forward on their radar.

Reports suggest Liverpool have offered Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa—both currently out of favour—in a sensational £95m transfer swap deal to Napoli for striker Victor Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray.

Osimhen’s contract at Napoli includes a £64.2m release clause. Liverpool are reportedly open to selling Nunez for at least £59m, while Chiesa, who joined from Napoli last year for just £10m, is also being included in the proposal.

However, Napoli are demanding an additional £17m on top of the two players to finalise the Victor Osimhen transfer deal.

Nunez has yet to impress at Anfield, scoring just five of Liverpool’s 86 Premier League goals last season despite 30 appearances.

Chiesa has had a similarly underwhelming stint since joining from Juventus and now looks set for a swift return to Serie A.

The proposed £95m transfer swap could work for all involved. Nunez and Chiesa are reportedly eager to leave Liverpool, with Chiesa especially motivated to return to Italy and boost his chances with the national team under Gennaro Gattuso.

Napoli are also interested in offloading Osimhen’s significant wages, estimated at £200,000 per week.

Still, the Victor Osimhen transfer deal is complicated and will likely require prolonged negotiations due to the multiple parties and financial terms involved.

The Nigerian international, who has 40 caps, nearly joined Chelsea last summer before moving to the Turkish Super Lig. He attracted interest from Al Ahli and PSG as well.

Osimhen scored 26 league goals in 30 matches for Galatasaray, earning goal of the season honours with a stunning bicycle kick against Antalyaspor.

Manchester United are also eyeing a move for Victor Osimhen as part of Ruben Amorim’s major squad overhaul.

Liverpool’s other striker targets reportedly include Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak, though the latter would require a £150m bid to secure from Newcastle.
