New York, USA — A 54-year-old man from Manhattan, identified as Michael Olson, has been arrested for allegedly drugging and raping a 14-year-old girl who later overdosed in a New York City hotel room, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. if reading from phoenix click Read original above to watch the video.
Authorities said the incident occurred on May 26, when the teenager was found unconscious in a Manhattan hotel room. She was rushed to the hospital, where she survived the overdose.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said Olson used drugs and money to lure and repeatedly abuse the minor.
“This indictment charges that the defendant used drugs and money to engage in targeted and repeated sexual abuse of a child,” Bragg stated. “Our office continues to investigate and believes the defendant’s criminal behavior may extend beyond the current charges.
Olson faces more than 15 charges, including second-degree rape and criminal sale of a controlled substance to a child. He pleaded not guilty during his court appearance on Thursday.
Investigations revealed that Olson first reached out to the victim in December 2022 through social media after she complained about the cost of clothing. He reportedly sent her a gift card and later began paying her around $700 weekly to spend time with him.
Over the next six months, prosecutors said Olson drugged and raped the girl multiple times in hotels across Manhattan and Queens. He also took her on trips to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Miami, booking her flights under her first name and his last name to make it appear she was his daughter.
When police arrived at the hotel on May 26, they found the girl overdosing beside Olson. Several drugs — including ketamine, cocaine, and Xanax — were recovered from the scene, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
Assistant District Attorney John Fuller said evidence from Olson’s devices revealed hundreds of screenshots of “young, Asian teenage girls” he had contacted on social media. He allegedly targeted vulnerable teens who posted about school admissions, financial hardship, or self-harm.
Fuller added that the investigation is ongoing and that more victims are being identified. “We expect additional charges as the investigation continues,” he said.

Olson, who had earlier posted a $1 million bond and was under home confinement with electronic monitoring, was taken back into custody after prosecutors alleged he continued contacting victims despite his bail conditions.
His next court appearance is scheduled for June 27.
If convicted, Olson could face up to 44 years in prison, though prosecutors said more charges are likely to be added.
