Tinubu Appoints Ogbeifun and New Members to Nimasa Board
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sanctioned the appointment of a fresh Governing Board for the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (Nimasa). These appointments officially take effect from June 24, 2025. This action aligns with Section 5 of the Nimasa Act, which empowers the Board to oversee the Agency’s financial, commercial, and operational policy direction.
Among the individuals appointed by President Tinubu is Iroghama Ogbeifun, who serves as the Managing Director/CEO of Starzs Investments Company Limited and chairs the Technical Committee of the Shipowners Association of Nigeria (SOAN).
Industry analysts have described Ogbeifun’s inclusion as a reflection of the President’s keen judgment and the administration’s ongoing dedication to reinforcing public institutions by selecting individuals distinguished by notable merit and outstanding achievements for key national roles.
