In a recent viral interview with Oyinmomo TV on YouTube, she apologized to Nigerians, saying her support was influenced by misplaced trust and her personal business struggles.
Nollywood Actress Bukky Raji; Raji admitted that she campaigned for Tinubu believing in his promise to “renew hope.” She made a heartfelt appeal to Nigerians, especially those going through economic hardship, asking for forgiveness.
What I regret in my life is that they said they wanted to renew hope. I use this moment to beg Nigerians, those I love, that love me and don’t love me… don’t be angry,” she said emotionally.
Nollywood Actress Bukky Raji, who was once thriving in the rice distribution business, explained that she began with just 20 bags of rice before expanding to offloading full trailers. However, border closures during former President Buhari’s regime disrupted her business, and she believed Tinubu would reverse the situation.
When Jagaban gets into office, I thought things would be better. But now, it’s all of us that are suffering — both those who campaigned and those who didn’t,” Raji lamented.

Nollywood Actress Bukky Raji, emphasized that her change of heart was due to personal reflection and not due to social media backlash.
It’s not because people bashed me on my page but because I sat down and reflected… Oh God, I’ve made a mistake,” she said.
Nollywood Actress Bukky Raji, made it clear that her campaign support for Tinubu wasn’t financially motivated. According to her, campaign funds meant for equal sharing were mismanaged due to greed and division among industry colleagues.
I can boldly say I did not receive a dime. We were told to share the money equally but some disagreed… that was the genesis of the disunity,” she stated .
Nollywood Actress Bukky Raji expressed disappointment that none of the promises made during campaign meetings with Tinubu have materialized. She noted that things remain unchanged.
These people told us they were going to work. It is still the same as yesterday,” she said.
Nollywood Actress Bukky Raji also reflected on her online clash with fellow actress Adunni Ade, who criticized celebrities for supporting politicians for just “a meager N90,000.” In a now-deleted video, Raji had fiercely defended her loyalty, denying monetary motivation.
Did they tell you we went there because of money? Or the love we have for Asiwaju?” she had responded then.
Now faced with the reality of a worsening economy, Bukky Raji admits that her support for Tinubu contributed to a failed mandate, expressing sincere remorse to Nigerians.
The masses are hungry. Don’t be angry, I’ve offended you. That’s my regret in life,” she concluded.
