Takahiro Shiraishi: ‘Twitter Killer’ Executed in Japan

Shiraishi, infamously known as the “Twitter killer,” has been executed in Japan for the brutal murder and dismemberment of nine individuals. He was sentenced to death in 2020 for his crimes, which occurred in 2017 in his apartment near Tokyo.

How Takahiro Shiraishi Lured His Victims

Shiraishi targeted individuals, primarily young women, who had expressed suicidal thoughts on social media. He lured them into his apartment, where he killed them. Shiraishi was also convicted of sexually abusing the female victims.

Secret Execution of Takahiro Shiraishi

The execution of Shiraishi was carried out in secrecy at the Tokyo Detention House. Authorities disclosed no information until the hanging was completed. The police arrested him in 2017 after discovering the remains of eight females and one male in cold-storage boxes inside his residence.

Shocking Crimes of Takahiro Shiraishi

Shiraishi, 27 at the time, admitted to murdering and dismembering his victims before placing their remains in coolers at his apartment southwest of Tokyo. He raped the women before killing them and murdered a boyfriend of one of the victims to prevent exposure.
