Residents of Brains and Hammers Estate, Life Camp, Abuja, were left in shock after a group of alleged operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) reportedly stormed the estate during a night raid on September 15, 2025.
According to CCTV footage obtained from the estate, the men arrived in the middle of the night and moved around the compound. However, the situation took a dramatic turn when the individuals noticed that they were being recorded. In a bid to cover their tracks, they allegedly destroyed the surveillance camera before continuing their operation.
Eyewitnesses within the estate described the incident as “terrifying,” noting that the operatives did not immediately identify themselves. The destruction of the estate’s CCTV camera has also raised questions about the legality of the raid and whether proper procedures were followed.VIDEO: Pastor’s Daughter’s Viral S*x Tape Leaves Internet in Shock, Watch!
This is not the first time EFCC operatives have faced controversy over the conduct of late-night raids. In October 2023, students of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife accused EFCC operatives of breaking into their hostels at night. Videos circulated online at the time showed students being forced out of their rooms, sparking widespread criticism of the agency’s methods. Join our telegram channel for more crime updates
Similarly, in August 2022, residents of Lagos State raised alarms after alleged EFCC operatives conducted a midnight operation in Ikorodu, leaving several young people injured and property damaged. That incident also drew condemnation from civil rights groups, who demanded that EFCC end night raids and adopt more transparent procedures.
