Shock and fear gripped residents of Nnewi, Anambra State, after the remains of a young girl who had been declared missing were discovered inside a wardrobe in a private apartment.
The victim, identified as Chiamaka Eze, a 16-year-old secondary school student, was reported missing by her parents three days earlier after she failed to return home from school. The family and neighbors had searched everywhere for her, until the heartbreaking discovery was made.
According to eyewitnesses, suspicions fell on a young man named Ifeanyi Nwosu, who lived alone in a rented apartment not far from Chiamaka’s house. Residents claimed they noticed a strong, strange smell coming from his room and decided to confront him.
