MultiChoice Slashes DStv Prices in Bold Move

MultiChoice Cuts DStv Decoder Price by 50%

In a strategic move to win back customers, MultiChoice Nigeria has halved the price of its DStv decoder from ₦20,000 to ₦10,000. This comes after the company reported a loss of 1.4 million subscribers between March 2023 and March 2025.

MultiChoice’s Campaign Aims to Boost Retention

The significant price cut was announced on Tuesday along with a new promotional campaign designed to both attract new users and retain existing ones. According to CEO John Ugbe, the move is part of the “We Got You” campaign which focuses on appreciating loyal customers and providing more value.

Ugbe emphasized the goal of making premium content more accessible and ensuring DStv is recognized as more than just a platform for football fans.
