VIDEO:Fake Lawyer Arrested at Magistrate Court in Delta State After Attempting to Represent Client

A man posing as a lawyer was arrested on Thursday at the Magistrate Court in Orhunwhorhun, Delta State, after he appeared in full legal attire to represent a client.

The suspect, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, reportedly entered the courtroom with confidence and introduced himself as the legal representative of a client in a pending matter. However, his actions and presentation raised suspicion among other lawyers present in court.

According to sources, some of the lawyers who noticed irregularities in his conduct quickly confronted him and demanded proof of his qualification to practice law. The man was unable to present any valid certificate or evidence of registration with the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).

Court officials then alerted security operatives, who arrested the suspect on the spot. Proceedings were briefly disrupted as the matter drew the attention of everyone present in the courtroom.

An eyewitness who spoke to reporters described the incident as shocking. “He looked very confident, even addressed the court like a real lawyer, until questions started coming in. That was when everything changed,” the witness said.
