Lagos, Nigeria – A Nigerian woman has returned the sum of ₦2 million that she found in a commercial taxi in Lagos.
The woman, identified as Mrs. Grace, reportedly boarded the taxi on her way to the market when she noticed a black nylon bag left on the back seat. Upon inspection, she discovered that the bag contained bundles of cash.
Rather than keeping the money, Mrs. Grace immediately informed the taxi driver about the discovery. Together, they contacted the rightful owner, a Lagos-based businessman, who had mistakenly left the bag behind.
Eyewitnesses said the businessman was moved to tears when his money was returned. This woman has saved my life today. I can’t believe such honesty still exists in this country,” the businessman reportedly said while appreciating Mrs. Grace.
